Design Palate Cleanser: The Pavilion Scheme
We wanted to share a fun project that our design team recently developed: this rendering of a 2100 square foot residence with adjacent 600 square foot garage and workshop represents one of two schemes presented to the client during the schematic design phase, and was voted the office favorite. The layout consists of three structures, each connected by south-facing, sunlit corridors for passive solar gain. The living volumes were distributed across the knoll to reduce the visual impact of the house on the site, and to optimize the views of the beautiful surrounding landscape from within.
