Belfast, Maine Solar Project

IMG_6046

The Belfast landfill is the site of a forward thinking PV installation, demonstrating how a brown field can be converted to a renewable energy power plant using the sun.  The project was developed by the Belfast Energy Committee, lead by Sadie Lloyd, in partnership with Revision Energy in 2015.  These photos show how good ideas can not only address important energy issues, but also look beautiful- even on an old dump.
