Introducing Potwine Passive House!

GO Logic is excited to share with you the Potwine Passive House House, a two-story, 1300 square foot home currently under construction in Amherst, Massachusetts.  It is on track for Passive House Certification, having already completed the Passive House Academy’s Design Stage Assurance process. The client, a physics professor who is passionate about energy and conservation, sees this house as an important teaching tool, to demonstrate strategies to reduce one’s carbon footprint through thoughtful design. Among the many energy-efficient features used, highlights will include exclusive use of LED light fixtures throughout the house, an air-source heat pump for heating and cooling, a drain water heat recovery system and a roof-mounted photovoltaic array.  Framing is currently underway with completion scheduled for this summer.  You can continue to follow along with construction here, and on the clients’ blog Potwine Passive House. potwine
